I was really excited to get an invite for a cocktail making workshop at Amigos, the new Mexican joint in Mumbai. And well, it is hard to say no to a cocktail making workshop! Amigos being a Mexican theme restaurant we were sure we could expect learning about tequila and margaritas, and we were not disappointed.
The workshop started with Desmond Nazareth of DesmondJi spirits giving us a brief about agave spirits, how it is made and margarita blends that they have to offer.
And while we sipped on the cocktails that Conrad Braganz, the bartender, made for us, Amigos served crisp nachos with mexican salsa and super spicy roasted jalapeno salsa.
I thoroughly enjoyed the frozen margaritas, cosmopolitan and the DesmondJi’s orange liqueur which is made using the oranges from Nagpur!
You can get more information about the mixes and liqueurs that DesmondJi has to offer here.
Here are the recipes of few of the cocktails that were made in the workshop.
I was in love with the frozen magaritas that Amigos had to offer and they do use DesmondJi spirits in their cocktails. It’s a great place to grab a few drinks and snacks with friends. Check out more about Amigos here and DesmondJi Spirits here!
