Dimsum means ‘touch the heart’. It is meant to be had as a snack and hence only meant to touch the heart. With something having such a description how can you not love it!
Dimsum and more is a tiny dimly lit place that it is very easy to miss it while driving down Yari Road; so pay attention because the road is too tiny and always jammed to be going back and forth.
Lets start talking about what I actually wanted to in the first place – the FOOD! I have been here quite a few times and the one thing that has always been ordered is the Veg. Chili garlic noodles..spicy but not too spicy; just a perfect hit of spice and it has this crunch from the veggies. Another must have, as the name suggests, are the dimsums. There are quite a few options for the veggies and non vegetarians.
Besides this the place has a pretty good share of options in gravies, noodles and rice. The soups that dimsum and more offer are really nice, light and give that comfy feeling that a soup ought to give. Do try the Spicy lemon coriander soup if you want to clear your throat or the Tibetan dumpling soup. Another must have are the steamed bread or tingmo as they call it. It’s perfect to dunk the bread in gravy and enjoy all the wonderful flavors.
Few other things that I have tried here are chicken wings in schezwan sauce, crispy chicken (can be avoided), chicken kothe, burnt garlic fried rice, wok tossed veg in burnt garlic, veg in hot garlic sauce, fish ginger onion and egg fried rice.
They state that they do not use any M.S.G and food coloring in their food…which is good. The prices are not too steep so you can enjoy your meal happily without thinking about what your pocket is going to go through.
